How much dancing do Vi and Ethel do in Footloose the musical?

I love dancing and I feel that my dancing is nearly good enough for me to get in, I just need to improve a little. They do a mix of mostly modern, but also street and jazz. I was always thinking that you have to first ask girls if they wanna dance, but I am afraid that is considered as not having enough confidence.I am confused!
