Do you know the history and genealogy of your family? Where is most of your family from?

I am just interested to hear others’ family history, genealogy, or where most of their family has come from or lived. Most of my family are from Ireland, and England, but as well from Germany. My great grandparents came here from Ireland, and i am the third generation here from Eire. I am still looking up my family from England and Germany.

Anyone done any genealogy research on the surname Sharp?

I love learning about the origins of people. I would like to further research my fathers line and the earliest thing I can find is that our immigrant ancestor came from England. I know that there are tons of genealogy sites but I dont want to pay money and then not find anything. So I was wondering if there is anyone out there that has any information regarding the Sharp surname?

Why do people demean others religion here. Arn’t there enough genealogy questions to ask?

It seems to me this forum is for genealogy questions not insulting other peoples religions. And if you are going to comment on subjects i.e. religion know what your’re talking about first. Otherwise you just sound like fools. I am not of the religion that is constantly reviled here but my religion says you don’t have to agree but respect others right to believe the way they want. I wonder what our forefathers really fought and died for? It certainly doesn’t seem to be freedom of religion.
